3D modelling

We create models from sketches, photos, measurements or scan data.

What is the model for?

The result depends on what the model will be used for. Choose the option that fits best.

Model for CNC machiningReady for precision milling.

We'll prepare professional drawings and models tailored to CNC manufacturing, advise you on the technical details and recommend which supplier to choose.

  1. Discussing your needs

We talk through the part's purpose, material, tolerances and quantity.

  2. Model and drawings for CNC

We model the part and prepare production drawings with dimensions, tolerances and surface requirements, ready for milling or turning.

  3. Review and revisions

We present the model and drawings and make changes based on your comments.

  4. Files and supplier advice

We hand over STEP and DXF files and drawings and, if needed, recommend reliable CNC machining suppliers.

Model for 3D printingA model optimised for printing.

We'll model the part with the printing technology in mind to avoid errors and make it strong. We'll agree every step with you.

  1. Discussing your needs

We talk through what the part is for, the loads it takes and where it will be used.

  2. Modelling for printing

We model with print orientation, wall thickness, supports and tolerances in mind, so the part comes out strong and accurate.

  3. Review and revisions

We present the model and make changes based on your comments.

  4. We print it, or you do

We can handle the whole process in-house, from model to printed part. If you print yourself, we'll prepare the file for your equipment and plastic – we have many years of experience.

Model for castingDesigned for mould casting.

We'll optimise the design for casting, with the required draft angles and tolerances. Before we start, we'll discuss your casting process.

  1. Discussing your casting process

We talk through the casting method, material, quantities and mould requirements.

  2. Optimising the design for casting

We adapt the model for casting: draft angles, even wall thickness, fillets and shrinkage allowance.

  3. 3D-printed prototypes

Before an expensive mould is made, we 3D-print prototypes – saving you cost and time while getting the final pattern as accurate as possible.

  4. Final pattern and files

Based on the prototype, we refine the model and hand over the final files or drawings for mould making.

Model for visualisationAn attractive, photorealistic model.

We'll create a detailed 3D model for your presentations or catalogues, sharing progress renders along the way until it looks exactly right.

  1. Discussing your needs

We talk through where the images will be used: presentations, catalogues, your website or investors.

  2. 3D model and assembly

We model every part and put them together in an assembly, so the product looks like the real thing.

  3. Rendering

We choose materials, lighting and angles and create photorealistic renders, plus exploded views or animations if needed.

  4. Final files

We share progress renders, adjust them based on your comments and hand over the final images and models.

FAQ

Can't find an answer? Write to us using the enquiry form.

What files can I send?

STL, 3MF, OBJ or STEP. If you only have a sketch, photos or a physical part, that's fine too – we'll prepare the model ourselves.

Can you make a part I don't have?

Yes! If you have an idea, we can make it real even without a physical sample. If you know where the part needs to be fitted, we can scan that spot and design a part that fits it perfectly.

Do you guarantee confidentiality?

Yes. If needed, we sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving your files.

How is the price worked out?

The price depends on the part's size, material, quantity and finishing. Once we have your file or description, we'll send you a specific quote.
